TRIALS AND TEMPTATIONS
was performed on Thursday 25th and Friday 26th January 2001. It consisted of two one-act plays with a fish and chip supper in the middle. The first play was the superb DOCK BRIEF by JOHN MORTIMER and was set in a prison cell below the court before and after Fowle's trial for murder.
The second play was TEMPTATION SORDID or VIRTUE REWARDED by WINIFRED PHELPS. This is a beautiful melodrama with all the correct elements in place for much over-acting!
